Member Development
The Balanced Man Program is Sigma Phi Epsilon's Member Development program which offers a no-hazing, no-pledging model. We strive to implement the Sound Mind in a Sound Body principle. Part of our responsibility is encouraging and challenge brothers to be the best they can be both academically and athletically, and keeping our brothers involved in extracurricular activities at Alabama. Incorporated in the Balanced Man Program are chapter retreats, leadership programs, guest speakers, mentorship, and other engaging events. The Balanced Man Program has assisted us in remaining the smartest Greek organization on campus and in the country. Alabama Beta achieved a 3.43 average GPA in the Spring 2012 semester, much higher than the all fraternity average of 2.85 and the all campus average of 2.98. The brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon take great pride in there achievements and never forget the hard work that got them there.
